Questions
What is CredBrief?
A news brief that sorts the day for you. We read more than 1,000 feeds and sites, rate how significant each story is, merge copies of the same story, and give you an ordered edition twice a day.
Why is there no password?
Because passwords are the weak point of most accounts: people reuse them, forget them, and they leak. CredBrief has none, so there is nothing to forget and nothing for anyone to steal. To sign in we email you a one-time link: tap it and you are in.
Will CredBrief cost anything after the beta?
Yes. CredBrief is free during the beta, and after it there will be a small subscription fee. A small fee from readers lets us work for you alone, with no ads and no selling of your information or attention.
What does the logo mean?
The C is built from three bands, like the lines of a short brief. The middle band is lit green: the story that matters. That is the whole idea of CredBrief. More than 14,000 stories reach us each day, an edition keeps about 150, and most readers need only the first 10 to 30 to be up to date, which takes about ten minutes. The green band is always the only accent, because a brief should point you at the one thing worth your attention first.
Does AI write the news?
No. Every story is a real article from a named outlet, shown with that outlet and a link to the original. The AI scores, orders and merges stories, and writes a brief English summary from the article's own text.
Do you sell my data or run ads?
We never sell or share your data, and we never run ads.
Will you hide important news from me?
No. Your settings only reorder your feed. A few top stories from outside your interests always stay in, and world events keep their share.
How do I get an account?
Enter your email and confirm it with the link we send you. We then email you a one-time sign-in link, usually within a minute. If we are very busy, or want a second look, you join the preview list and we email you when your place is ready.
